Catholic Schools Week was a great success!
The 2010 celebration of Catholic Schools Week at I.C.S., with its theme of Dividends for Life, was a big success. Many activities stressed the dividends to be reaped by students, families, faculty, and administration of Catholic schools: faith, knowledge, discipline, and morals. The slide shows below picture some of the highlights of the week. The first slide show depicts Grandparents/godparents Day activities, as well as Career Day. The second slide show is all about Teacher Appreciation Day. The third slide show (under construction) features Student Appreciation Day, mini-olympics, and the family picnic on Friday. Many thanks to the Catholic Schools Week committee members pictured here for their dedication in planning the week and kudos to all those who helped make it a great success. Thanks, (l-r) D. Garza, O. Escobar, O. Barrera, and M. Robles.

Varsity Girls’ Basketball Team
The varsity girls’ basketball team from Immaculate Conception School is coached by A. Gonzalez and S. Salvosa. The team is made up of sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls. This dedicated team plays parochial schools and other schools in the area. They are very grateful to the Family Health Clinic which donated their new uniforms. I.C.S. has existed for over 125 years because of the generous support of many benefactors. Anyone interested in the school’s continued success can click on “giving” on the icsrio.org website to make a donation to the school. Early registration for the school year 2010-11 is underway; sign up now at the school office or call 487-2558.
